Lester DUVAL

MUSICIAN, PRODUCER, SONGWRITER & ENGINEER

ABOUT

Lester grew up in the studio with world class musicians and engineers passing through daily. He cut his teeth early on, watching, learning and absorbing all the magic before going on to work on The Voice UK (Series 1 & 2), tour with George Ezra across the UK, Europe, Australia & the U.S.A, squeezing in a co-write on Rizzle Kicks' Roaring 20s (featuring Jamie Cullum) and a co-write/production credit on Jordan Rakei’s Cloak along the way.

On top of all this, as well as writing with other artists and composing for Made Up Music, his 2 main projects (both duos), The Odd 910 (with J.D. Wade) & 2nd Exit (with Alfa Mist) are garnering attention from some important taste-makers (BBC Introducing, MOBO Awards HQ & various Spotify playlists).

Working from home in state of the art, boutique studio The Bunker, Lester applies this depth of experience to writing, producing and engineering on a daily basis, working with luminaries of the music world past and present. Click here for studio details.

Highlights:

Spring 2014 - Spring 2015, Lester toured with international chart-topping sensation George Ezra, providing bass, backing vocals and keyboards in George's touring band for 2 UK Tours, EU Tour, Australian Tour,  opening for Sam Smith's US Arena Tour, and a multitude of festivals (UK/EU/AUS).

In 2014 alongside Alfa Mist, he co-produced and was a featured vocalist on 'Where's Your Soul At' from Barney Artist's 'Bespoke' EP.

Following this, he also co-produced and featured on 'Closer' from Alfa Mist's EP 'Nocturne', going on to create the '2nd Exit' EP together, under the same name.

From December 2014 into Autumn 2015, he worked extensively with Hattie Webb (The Webb SistersLeonard Cohen), co-writing and co-producing new material, some of which will contribute towards her upcoming releases.

Alongside all this, he has been working with talented singer/songwriter J.D. Wade under the name 'The Odd 910'. In late 2016, they released their debut single 'Break ‘Em', which won the songwriting duo high praise, airplay and a dedicated group of listeners, and set the scene for the release of their debut EP 'Going South' in early 2017. They are currently working on their next full-length release, due later in 2017.
